About BallCheck
BallCheck is built by M Walid Chikh Alard, who plays tennis, padel and pickleball and built it to stop guessing which balls are still good.
Who makes it
M Walid Chikh Alard builds BallCheck. He plays tennis, padel and pickleball, and wanted a quick way to know which balls still play like new instead of guessing.
BallCheck is published by helloalard.
How BallCheck measures
Put the phone on the floor and drop the ball from net height. BallCheck listens to the bounces, times the gaps between them and scores how much bounce the ball has left compared with a new one.
Lab reference or your own court
Out of the box, scores compare against built-in reference values that assume ideal lab conditions. A real court, the weather and your balls differ, so you can save the courts you play on and calibrate each one with 3 new balls for the truest score.
Privacy
BallCheck only listens while a test runs and works everything out on your phone. Nothing leaves your phone unless you choose to share anonymous results with the Ball Life Study. Privacy
